Graphic Designer/Social Media Manager

We are looking for a full-time Graphic Designer/Social Media Manager to join the Media team to help communicate the vision of HighRidge Church. This position engages with and serves as a support to leadership, staff and multiple departments, and works closely with the department Director and Video Producer. Our small team wears many hats and relies heavily on teamwork, diligence, and self-management. Because this position works on multiple projects simultaneously, you should be a self-starter with a positive attitude.


Videography (30%)

  • Works with Director of Media to support creative, communication and marketing objectives, discuss creative direction, and ensure HighRidge brand consistency
  • Develop look and feel for assets that effectively communicates our ideas, brand and value proposition and meets design specifications best practices
  • Design print and web pieces, marketing and communication materials, service content, social content, email graphics and web art using AdobePhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Must have a keen eye to detail, quick to apply existing branding, and be able to write/edit as needed
  • Liaison for all vendors
  • Places all print and design orders

Photography (25%)

  • Manage social media content calendar
  • Design and write relevant content for all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter)
  • Work with Sked Social posting platform
  • Paid advertising via Facebook and Instagram

Web and App Assistance (a part of training) (15%)

  • Manage and maintain websites owned by HighRidge Church (WordPress and non-WP)
  • Manage and maintain HighRidge App (The Fluid App CMS)

Administrative Duties (15%)

  • Assist Director in additional duties as needed and assigned
  • Attend all staff meetings and worship/vision meetings with Lead Pastor
  • Track all creative assets and projects, provide updates in oversight meetings
  • Manage communication for those interested in serving with department (Ministry Mobilizer and process queues on CCB)
  • Assist in the maintenance of message series yearly calendar and attend all message series meetings with Lead Pastor
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications include:

  • Above all, you must understand, believe in and support the vision and mission of HighRidge Church, and desire to serve the Lord
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Energetic, confident, organized and motivated
  • Possess strong graphic design skills with 2-5 years of related graphic design, marketing communications and/or social media experience with an in-depth knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Knowledge of current design trends and practices for print and digital applications
  • Understanding of print and digital production specifications and requirements for asset delivery
  • Attention to detail, customer service orientation, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Proficient written and communication skills, and excellent ability to work happily with other departments and teammates
  • Knowledge of web management and website development using WordPress platform preferred (but not required)
  • *BONUS* Video and photo editing in Adobe After Effects and Premiere (preferred, not required)
