Videographer/Photographer

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

HighRidge Church exists to strengthen people for life by helping them Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose and Make a Difference. We are a church of devoted worshippers who choose joy, generous living, encouraging words and to build relationships.

The Videographer/Photographer oversees video production and post video production by operating camera, lighting, and audio equipment, audio/video editing, and supporting additional projects. They are responsible for creating teams in photography and videography. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Videography (40%) 

  • Complete video projects from start to finish including:
    • Scriptwriting
    • Organizing video shoots
    • Directing video shoots
    • Working with “talent”
    • Conducting interviews to produce testimony videos
    • Lighting setups
    • Video editing via Premiere and After Effects
  • Weekend information videos (example: here)
  • Sermon Series title package or “opener” (example: here)
  • Video clips of weekend communicators to be used on social accounts (examples of our content can be seen on Instagram or Facebook @highridgechurch)
  • Organize and manage HighRidge Vimeo and YouTube accounts
  • Creation of Motion Graphic videos (preferred but not required)
  • Provide project statuses in oversight meetings to Director

Photography (40%)

  • Capture images of weekend communicators and congregation to be used on social accounts (examples of our content can be seen on Instagram or Facebook @highridgechurch)
  • Management of Photography Team volunteers
    • Actively work to build this team
    • Cultivate relationships with volunteers
    • On-board volunteers
    • Skills training for volunteers
    • Schedule volunteers
    • Review their work and give constructive feedback
  • Manage photo sharing platform SmugMug
  • Provide project statuses in oversight meetings to Director

Other Miscellaneous Duties (20%)

  • Assist Director in additional duties as needed and assigned
  • Attend all staff meetings and worship/vision meetings with Lead Pastor
  • Assist Media Team in the management of websites owned by HighRidge Church and HighRidge Apps
  • Assist in conducting paid social campaigns via Facebook and Instagram
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications include:

  • Above all, you must understand, believe in and support the vision and mission of HighRidge Church, and desire to serve the Lord (we call this a Heart for the House)
  • Energetic, passionate, confident, organized and motivated
  • Attention to detail with creative problem-solving skills
  • Must value quality customer service and work patiently with others
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to edit photos and videos via Adobe Creative Suite (LightRoom, PhotoShop, Premiere and After Effects)
  • Knowledge of current videography trends and practices
  • Proficient in written and communication skills
  • Ability to work happily with other departments and teammates
