As your Group is getting started, go around the Group and have everyone report a win that has happened since the previous meeting. A win is anything good that God has done in your life.
"Immediately He made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side, while He sent the crowds away."
"You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God."
Are you willing to walk on water?
How badly do you want to walk with Jesus?
Don't focus on the problem, focus on the Problem Solver!
If anyone in your group is being called to lead a small group, suggest that they start praying about how they can seize the opportunity to lead the people around them. Encourage them not to wait until the last minute and ask them if they want to become your “assistant small group leader” so they can start taking steps in that direction.
Midway through this week, send a follow-up email/text message to your group with some or all of the following:
- "How have you heard God speak today?"
- A note of encouragement
Follow up on any specific prayer requests mentioned during your Group meeting.
